To determine who is named to “The Best Lawyers in America” list, the Board of Advisors follow these five steps:

1. Nomination: Attorneys can get nominated by anyone but themselves.
2. Peer review: Currently recognized lawyers provide feedback on the caliber of the candidate’s work.
3. Analysis of feedback: Results are collected and feedback from voters is reviewed.
4. Eligibility check: Candidates are confirmed to be in good standing with their local bar associations.
5. Results released: Firms are informed of the results and the newly recognized lawyers are published in print and online.

Attorney Samuelson continues to make significant contributions in the field of family law, including being the author of the column “Recent Legislation, Cases and Trendy in Matrimonial Law,” published by the New York State Bar Association’s esteemed publication, The Family Law Review.
